Thomsonite is a hydrous calcium sodium aluminum silicate member of the zeolite family that crystallizes in the form of spherical concretions, layered aggregates, and slender needle-like prismatic crystals. The color of Thomsonite can range from orange, pink, yellow, and white, to even green and brown! This Zeolite mineral was first discovered in Scotland in 1820 and was named after the Scottish scientist Thomas Thomson. You can often find Thomsonite growing alongside Mesolite, a white needle-like tectosilicate mineral that resembles Natrolite. It’s found all over the world with notable deposits including in the U.K., Australia, Germany, Italy, Norway, India, Russia, and the U.S.A.
Thomsonite resonates with the root chakra and helps ground your energies while stimulating the creative chakras. This is often channeled through physical manifestations such as; sudden interest in new hobbies, becoming more than introverted, and removing yourself from relationships that you’ve grown past. Thomsonite is a mineral that can help you reflect within and correct thought & emotional patterns that may not serve you any longer. This is exceptionally great for anyone dealing with lingering trauma that can be very challenging to grow from on an emotional level.
