Its colour can range from a silky blue to a dark navy grey. Rhodusite was first discussed in 1891 in an Austrian Scientific Journal and was named from its type locality on the Island of Rhodes in Greece. It’s a rare mineral that has been found in several localities including Bolivia, Russia, Australia, Greece, China, Italy, and the U.S.A.
